Now in it's fourth year, CODeLLA (kōd-eh-la) is a first-in-the-nation outreach program focusing on increasing the number of middle school aged Latina and other under-represented girls who engage in STEM through a variety of programs in Miami-Dade County including an eight-week summer coding immersion + tech entrepreneurship program. CODeLLA also produces technology events and conferences throughout the year including SheTech Miami and NCWIT AiC awards ceremony and the NCWIT AiC educators awards ceremony. We provide a girls–only environment built for learning and exploring the fundamentals of Computer Science, Digital Literacy, Design Thinking, Leadership Development, and Entrepreneurship. CODeLLA has reached over 1100 girls in Miami-Dade County since 2014.
Lunch and Learns at Leading Tech Companies with Female tech role models!
At CODeLLA, we expose Latina girls age 8 to 13 to technology companies in our emerging tech ecosystem so as to inspire them to enter the STEM workforce of the future through events including field trips, Lunch and Learns, and live interviews with women leaders in tech.
